Bell Achieves Cisco Unified Computing Systems Specialization

Today, Bell Techlogix announced that it has completed the rigorous program requirements that position Bell to extend its Cisco Premier Partner status to include the design and implementation of Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS). This effectively positions the Bell team to be stronger players in helping clients improve efficiencies, performance and scalability in their data centers.
“With our extensive experience and expertise in delivering IT Lifecycle Services to our clients, Cisco UCS is a logical step for us and a valuable addition to our portfolio,” said Kevin Burke, President of Bell Techlogix. “As evidenced by recent analyst reports, Cisco UCS is an important solution that allows our clients to address the growing challenges that they face in their IT infrastructures”.
Bell Techlogix implemented Cisco UCS in its own IT infrastructure a year ago. Due to its prominence in IT Help Desk outsourcing, Bell has a complex infrastructure including integration into an advanced call center environment and a highly distributed workforce. It has made the infrastructure more flexible and scalable and the business more agile. “Having implemented Cisco UCS ourselves has been important in that we have experienced the benefits and can more effectively speak to potential clients regarding the actual design and implementation challenges,” said Steve Shannon, Chief Information Officer at Bell. “The bottom line is that we know why organizations should do it and how they should do it, because we’ve done it ourselves,” Mr. Shannon added.
